Yeah Reed!

Well it was a big day today at the Arthur house. Reed, who just a week half ago got his license, went for a job interview. And guess what, HE GOT THE JOB!!!!!! He now works for our church and we are so very proud of him. He is one of the hardest working young men I know and he will do just great at his new job.

As most of you know Reed had dyslexia very severely. School is very hard for him. He has often asked me if he would be able to have a job. So you can see what a BIG deal this is in our home. I've never doubted that Reed could get a job. God has a special plan for Reed and we aren't going to try to make him into someone he is not. He may never go to collage but he will be a godly husband and father one day and he will server his Lord with all his heart. I'm so thankful for Reed and the young man he has become. He is a true southern gentleman. He's not perfect but he does open my door on the truck for me all then time and he thanks me for cooking for him and is always ready to help out in the kitchen. Oh! I NEVER and I mean NEVER have to tell him to clean his room.

He's going to be a great husband just as long as his wife doesn't mind a man who never reads the paper, doesn't watch sports, likes to clean and cook, likes to stay home, doesn't care about keeping up with the Jones and serves his Lord!

Oh how very blessed Greg and I are to have a son like Reed.

  1. I would hire Reed in a heartbeat! He is one of the most diligent young men I know. And don't count college out yet. He probably doesn't want to major in English but there are so many things he could do that don't require a lot of reading. Plus, he still has a support system that would be there to tutor. Reed has lots of wonderful opportunities ahead of him. :.)
